Finally some good news!

We are delighted to say that Defra has now given approval to allow animal rescue organisations in England to start to adopt and foster animals again!

We will remain closed to the public. Animals will be safely delivered to their new homes in a secure way by our experienced Key Worker RSPCA staff and volunteers. All elements of the adoption will be done remotely using video/photo's/phone and email. At the moment we are only carrying out local adoptions, reservations and video call homevisits from further afield can still be carried out but adoption will be arranged at a future date.

Hopefully we can manage to find some new homes for some of our many residents.

All animals currently available for adoption will be listed on

If you'd like to foster, please contact us on 0161-286-2503 or email rspca.altrincham.cheshire@googlemail.com

Please do not visit us in person - this is a new remote process that involves our key workers bringing the animals to you!

All our animals who are ready for adoption are also shown on the National RSPCA “Find a Pet” website, where they have lots of free online help and support, if you are considering adopting a pet or have just taken a new animal into your home. We are always happy to give help and advice about re-homing an animal.

If you would like to offer one of our animals a new home and you would like to arrange to meet them, please call our Branch Manager Julia Tucker on 0161-286-2503 or email rspca.altrincham.cheshire@googlemail.com
